Big Sky Youth Home is a multifaceted Christian Troubled Teen Residential Program. We are also known as an Alternative Christian Home - based Christian Boarding School, Christian Group Home, Private Addiction Recovery and Drug Recovery Program, Wilderness Program, Outdoor Program and Aftercare Home that will Challenge your teen. This is a place where Struggling Teen girls that have completed drug rehabilitation learn to adjust back to home life, Instead of being thrown back into the same society, where their previous peers enabled or promoted their addiction. In essence we are a fresh start for teen girls recovering from drugs or alcohol addiction. The Lord has blessed us with a beautiful Montana Amish Log Home as a relaxing residence for our girls.

The lodge type setting lends to our mission to teach troubled teens how to be better life managers through a reality based lifestyle. The change of environment for the girls here is extreme in the beginning; most have never seen a bear, deer, eagle, wolf much less hunted, fished or ridden a snow mobile to fetch the mail. The in-climate weather and change of seasons in Montana is great for teaching the girls about change; setting the scene for how to adapt and change poor behaviors. Big Sky Youth Home is successful at getting young girls to look at alternatives to their previously destructive lifestyle and learn how to be happy again by claiming it on their lives. Much of our success has to do with accepting limited annual enrollments so our girls get more one on one mentoring, intense structure and supervision while still allowing the girls to experience the outside world on a daily basis yet very protected from negative influences. Our students are very much like foreign exchange students, in a Christian Boarding School, in the aspect that they rely on us for everything and we allow them to experience God's beautiful world so that can grow emotionally, yet protected from the not-so-safe things of the world ~ Gate keepers for God's lambs.

The living situation is like that of a large family; caring, loving, helpful and structured. We have weekly meetings to discuss any concerns or needs for improvement as well as a family discussions and selection of potential new students with our girls. We want new students to know that they were chosen and we are committed to their healing. At meal times we sit down at our 9 foot table to pray and eat together as a family should. We believe that creating a solid nurturing Christian family environment is the key and God is the Door. Our eight year job as full-time house parents has created growth in our own lives and we want to encourage others that God has a plan for all of our lives and we love teaching struggling teens that when you learn to rely on the Lord instead of people, they will begin to experience healing in their lives and in the lives of their families. Many of our girls come from broken homes where they are facing generational curses as well as self-induced depression and failures.

Big Sky Youth Home teaches life skills from and Christian point of view, mentor and offer help to Christian families and Christian Family Counseling of defiant teen girls that may be struggling with common issues such as; low self esteem, depression, cutting, running away, sexually active, alcohol/drug abuse, addiction recovery, negative peers, failing school, stealing, lying, manipulation, verbally combative, ungovernable youth or out of control.

Helping toubled teen girls find the courage and the will to succeed.

Big Sky Youth Home provides an environment based on respect, trust and sincerity. It is our vision to provide a place where we can bring light and change to the lives of At-Risk Youth and Troubled Kids, bridging their troubled pasts to a bright new future. The teen will live in a private family setting with 24-hour supervision. We encourage growth while helping your teen develop confidence, independence, self esteem, respect and self- awareness. All of these components are equally important in changing self-defeating attitudes and behaviors into life altering character assets in which recovery can begin.

Located in beautiful northwestern Montana, our home provides a place for your youth to heal. We offer intervention to teens that are afflicted with depression, addiction, anger, low-self esteem and more. Big Sky deals with negative conduct on an individual basis using firm behavioral modification. All too often, a youth's environment depicts their future. Big Sky's mission is to instill strong work ethics, communication skills, accountability, consequences, respect towards peers and adults and values. Tough love and trust can change a teen's outlook and breathe new life into a girls future from many areas around the nation such as: California, Texas, Michigan, New York, Florida, and many other states.
